This is a point-to-point marathon relay. The race starts on Waterloo Rd and finishes at The Foxhole Biergarten. The course consists of 8 relay legs, all on breathtaking dirt roads in Washtenaw County.

Each team will be allowed one vehicle to make their way to each relay exchange zone.

The anchor leg requires TWO runners from your team to run the final leg together.

THE RACE STARTS HERE

LEG #1

FOXTROT

Distance: 3.55 mi

Elevation Gain: 134 ft

Description:

Lush tree canopy over rich dirt roads with some rolling hills. Be careful crossing Wekner.


LEG #2

THE WALTZ

Distance: 3.35 mi

Elevation Gain: 132 ft

Description:

Corn stalks for the first mile on Donner, gentle climbs up and down Colby, followed by the prettiest corner turn in Washtenaw County.


LEG #3

THE RUNNING MAN

Distance: 4.45 mi

Elevation Gain: 101 ft

Description:

Longest segment of the day. Plenty of shade on Beach, but this stretch of Dancer is pretty exposed to the elements.


LEG #4

DO-SI-DO

Distance: 2.93mi

Elevation Gain: 70 ft

Description:

Three left turns. Cool off under the shade of Easton, and take advantage of the flat terrain.


LEG #5

FUNKY CHICKEN

Distance: 4 mi

Elevation Gain: 113ft

Description:

Be careful crossing the road on Jackson. The first two miles won’t have much shade, but the next two are nice and shady. Another burner leg without a whole lot of elevation.

BARN DANCE

Distance: 3.08 mi

Elevation Gain: 124 ft

Description:

After you turn on Waltrous, you’ll see why this loop is a Bandit favorite on Sundays.


LEG #7

DO THE HUSTLE

Distance: 2.68 mi

Elevation Gain: 101 ft

Description:

Vast fields of green, gold, and livestock along the way. Also, there are farm dogs on Sager that like to run alongside us.


LEG #8

PROMENADE

Distance: 2.11 mi

Elevation Gain: 56 ft.

Description:

Important Note: TWO runners from each team must complete this last leg together. Sprint to the finish, and bask in the glory of the Foxhole Relay.
